I did my homework on Winneth before I hired him, thinking the testimonials praising his abilities must surely be exaggerated (and because giving over your money and personal details to a stranger surely demands some due diligence).
In less than two weeks, he had secured me an apartment in a location that is perfect
But Winneth is both trustworthy and a magician when it comes to finding a rental property! In less than two weeks, he had secured me an apartment in a location that couldn’t have been more perfect. Winneth has a remarkable ability to identify the needs of his clients in a very short amount of time and is absolutely invested in ensuring those needs are met.
I had confidence in his abilities and was able to trust his judgment
He seemed to understand what was important and what was a ‘deal breaker’ for me from the start, which meant I had confidence in his abilities and was able to trust his judgment at every stage of the process. He also had the local knowledge I simply did not have, which was essential to navigating the rental market in Melbourne, and in establishing lease agreements and setting up utility and internet connections.
Winneth dramatically reduced the stresses of relocating to Melbourne
Although I’m sure Winneth was working with other clients at the time, I would never have known. He always responded to my emails in an attentive, personalised, compassionate and timely manner. His attention to detail is second to none. Winneth managed to dramatically reduce the stresses of relocating from interstate and was a very welcome face on my arrival into Melbourne.
A service every university should consider for academic staff moving to Melbourne
I cannot recommend Finders Keepers Rental Property Locators highly enough. His services are something that every university should consider recommending to new academic staff moving to Melbourne from elsewhere.
Dr. Katrina Clifford – Deakin University
Background
Katrina gave me a call and told me that she was moving to Melbourne from Hobart for a teaching position at Deakin. She was starting her new role at the beginning of the new school year and was worried that she might not get a place. Her brief was a two bedroom place, between the CBD and the university. It needs to have a good outdoor area, a good usuable kitchen and the area should be safe. She wants to be close to cafes and public transport. She also specified the duration she would want to be on public transport to get to work and back home. We focused our search in Richmond, Hawthorn, Camberwell, where the tram lines goes as this will be the main transport to get to work. We inspected quite a few apartments for Katrina and some of them actually ticked all the marks and for some reason, they didn’t feel right. And then one came along that was through a private landlord. It ticked all but one of the requirements but it really felt right. I sent the video to Katrina and told her how I felt about this property and what it was lacking. She agreed with me that it felt really right for her as well. In fact, her mother already decided this was the right property even before I inspected it. After a few negotiations with the start date and the rent amount and we secured the apartment two days after viewing it.
