“We moved from the UK with two young children and wanted a house a short commute from work, and close to a good primary school. Winneth worked extremely hard to ensure all our needs were met. Nothing was too much to ask for and he was always very prompt when replying to our messages.
He gave us detailed summaries about potential properties and his videos were very thorough. We arrived in Melbourne at midnight and Winneth met us at our new house, having already arranged connection of the internet, utilities, and taken delivery of living essentials. We would not hesitate to recommend Winneth to others as his attitude, professionalism and passion for the job make him a pleasure to work with.”
Michael and Anna – Hospital Doctor
Background
Michael and Anna got in touch with us a few months before their planned relocation to Melbourne to take on a work contract at one of Melbourne’s largest well-known hospitals. Their brief was very specific. They wanted a rental home that is a fully-furnished house with an outdoor area, at least 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, within an excellent primary school district and easy commute to the hospital. But after scouting for two weeks, we couldn’t find fully-furnished houses in the right location that addressed their needs. So we switched to looking at unfurnished houses and calculated the cost of furnishing the home.
We got accepted to two other beautiful unfurnished properties in Carlton North and South Yarra but we took the risk and turned both down because of one particular house in Fitzroy North that we were eyeing that was still waiting for the turnover to the new owners who bought the property. On the first inspection day scheduled on a Saturday, there was a queue of people growing outside the rental property waiting for the agent to arrive. The competition looked tough as I scanned the people who showed up. Needless to say, by Tuesday morning, we got the call to say our application was successful! It was nerve-wracking because we just turned down two properties but this one, after inspecting, felt right! It had a good feeling about it. The previous two rentals that we were offered were excellent as well but there was something missing that would make it feel less like a home. Michael and Anna felt the same way about the home when they saw the video.
Because it was an unfurnished house, we bought their appliances from our contact, furnishings and essential kitchen items from Ikea so they can move in and sleep in their new home on the night they arrived. They said they can stay in a hotel that night and meet me the following day. I told them that I don’t want the to spend one night in a hotel and have to carry their luggages two more times. So just after 1AM they showed up and slept in their own beds that night.
